GAS CONTAINERS AND TANKS
This category includes a wide and diversified range of products. The material of the different tanks and containers is mostly made of high-tensile technical tarpaulin with PVC coating. A wide range of types is available, including simple pool liners, flexible liquid containers, closed and open anti-fire water containers, liquid manure containers, single-shell gas tank covers and double-shell gas containers.
The waterproof liquid containers and pool liners are suitable for holding anti-fire water, irrigation water, fertilizer, liquid manure, wastewater and other hazardous industrial and agricultural materials harmful to the environment, with volumes from 1 to more than 10,000 m³.
Our custom-made products are easy and quick to install and the types intended to be used above the ground are easy to mobilise.
Beyond conventional earthen basin liners, we’ve developed new flexible above-terranean liquid containers without framework (up to 100 m³ capacity) and gas tanks.
These products are also perfectly suitable for the periodic storage of anti-fire water, fertilizer, suspension or oil.

High-tensile technical textile coated with PVC on both sides is usually the most suitable for manufacturing tanks and containers. According to the intended purpose, the surface of the material can be coated with UV-resistant, antifungal or fireproof coating - in case of gas containers, the ground texture has a minimal gas-permeability. The joints and welding seams are watertight and gastight. The strength of the material depends on the dimensions of the container/tank: from 650 g/m2 to 1550 g/m2. The fire classification of the material is B-s1-d0.
GROUPS ACCORDING TO FUNCTION
Biogas storage systems actively contribute to the production of renewable energy, and thus, significantly contribute to environmental protection as well. Our product developed for the storage of biogas provides a safe and long-term solution for the storage of biogas resulting from different biodegradable materials.
The double-shelled - external and internal shells - spherical tanks are perfectly suitable for the storage of gases resulting from organic materials (e.g. liquid manure, green vegetable waste, sewage sludge) generated during biofermentation in the case of agriculture and in industrial biogas plants as well.
The spherical biogas tank is made of external and internal membranes. It is the internal membrane of the tank where the biogas is actually stored. Overpressure has to be generated between the external and the internal shells in order to keep the tank’s intended geometry and to make it withstand the meteorological loads. A little overpressure has to be maintained in the internal shell as well, so that the stored biogas can return into the system. The volume of the gas stored in the internal shell is varying, and the pressure has to be regulated accordingly.
The PVC gas tank is fixed to steel rings anchored into concrete, or is fixed to the edge of the concrete tank.
FLEXIBLE LIQUID TANK
A self-supporting tank without framework and with a design that makes it easy to package and transport. Suitable for the temporary storage of liquids.
Made of high-tensile technical tarpaulin with Ø 2.4 aperture on the top with the possibility to install a canopy (optional), and with 1x filler-discharger outlet (with Ø52 or Ø 75 mm nozzle clamp) installed at the bottom. Patching material (0,5 m²) and adhesive (cca. 100 ml) is provided with the tank.
Storage can be solved easily with the flexible liquid tank, since the tank fits in small spaces, and it is also easy to pack and transport. Minimal preparations are required for the installation, since it has standard filler and discharger outlets, making water draw-off/discharge to be performed in the standard way. The expected lifetime of the flexible liquid tank is 10 years under normal use.
The flexible liquid tank can be used to store irrigation water, anti-fire water, fertilizer, vinasse, filtered waste water etc.
FLEXIBLE LIQUID MANURE CONTAINERS
The flexible PVC tanks can be manufactured in any size up to a storage capacity of 10,000 m3. These tanks - adapted to nature with their green colour - can be used to store any amount of liquid manure. The material of the tank has limited gas permeation, but the generated biogas can be discharged through the discharge valve installed in the tank. It is not necessary to build a supporting structure for the PVC tank, since the tank is supported by the earthen basin lined with geotextile. An inspection window, as well as discharge- and filling valves are also installed in the PVC tank. The tank is anchored using springs fixed to steel ground stakes, and high-tensile straps. The homogeneity and liquid state of the stored material can be maintained by the installation of mixing pumps, and the generated gases can be discharged and exploited as biogases by the installation of gas lines and pressure regulators.
If the liquid manure container is not used, its inside can be sterilized, and the PVC tank can be stored in a small, dry and rodent-free place once it’s wrapped.

POOL LINERS FOR THE STORAGE OF LIQUID MANURE AND ANTI-FIRE WATER
The insulations are made of 1.5 mm thick high-tensile, watertight, long-lasting technical tarpaulins with polyester fabric insert and coated with PVC on both sides; the individual elements are fixed with high frequency welding to ensure perfect watertightness. The liquid manure and anti-fire water containers can be open or closed. The pool liners can be installed quickly and easily by laying them on the geotextile layed out in advance in the pool prepared in the planned size. The PVC liners are usually fixed along the edge using sandbags or soil ballasts. Usually 15 to 20 years of lifetime is expected; no mould growth thanks to the surface-treatment of the material. If the surface of the material still has proper adherence, smaller defects can be repaired with local adhesion. The filling and discharge of the pools can be mechanised by using pumps.
Pool liners for liquid manure- and anti-fire water pools can be manufactured with unlimited dimensions.
COUNSELLING, CONTRIBUTION TO THE PLANNING
The advices of our experienced engineers and manufacturing specialists concerning the roof structural and anchoring requirements of the subsequent membranes (reduction of the amount of steel required for the primary supporting structure, concept design of secondary auxiliary supports on the main support) should be taken into consideration at the stage of concept planning.
DEVELOPING THE CONCEPT, FORM-FINDING
The ideal membrane shape is developed by taking the local conditions – structure, anchoring, meteorological loads, roof type – into consideration with 3D form-finding analysis.
Preparation of scale model: before finalising the concept, it is possible to prepare a life-sized model to eliminate occasional planning errors and technical solutions that wouldn’t work in practice.
SELECTION OF MATERIALS, DETERMINING METHOD OF ANCHORING
The strength, quality and type of the load-bearing material required for the given roof or facade cover can be specified on the basis of preliminary static calculations, after the assessment of material tests. The type of the membrane anchoring can be finalised on the basis of the selected material, the type of the primary support, and on the basis of the preliminary static calculations.
ESTABLISHING THE BUDGET
The budget for the roof or facade membrane cover of a project can be prepared in light of the materials and the anchoring method.
DATA PROVISION FOR AUTHORISATION PROCEDURE
We prepare the membrane drawings, data provision concerning dynamics and preliminary designs for the authorisation design documentation of the construction as agreed.
PREPARATION OF PRODUCTION PLANS
The manufacturing of the tensioned membrane and of the anchoring will be performed on the basis of elaborated plans approved by the customer.
PREPARING PRODUCTION PLAN AND ASSEMBLY CONCEPT
Simultaneously with the selection of materials will the preparation of the manufacturing technology and assembly concept start, which, among others, shall include the performance of tests before, during and after the production, the determination of product control processes, procedural and final inspections, manufacturing technology, welding processes, folding and packaging concepts, the manpower and machinery needs of the on-site assembly, and the elaboration of proper assembly technology.
Technology and manufacturing capacities adapted to the dimensions and technical requirements of the project, using state-of-the-art machines: CAD/CAM computer-controlled plotter, high-frequency welding machines (for PVC-, PE- and PU-coated materials), pressing machines (for PTFE- and silicone-coated and Tenara materials).

Our group of experienced mechanics will perform the assembly of our tensioned membranes in any country of the world, under the supervision of Graboplan project managers: our mechanics have IRATA certificates, they are qualified to perform work at height, to operate machinery, they have personal protective equipment and special equipment for assembly.

Preparation of as-built drawings, specifications of materials installed, technical data sheets, declarations of performance with product-related user-maintenance instructions.
